from what I found looking at the family tree for Lewis-241... no. John Puleston in that line died with no legitimate children according to Bartrum - - and I didn't find that Bartrum noted any illegitimate children. One of Bartrum's charts that I looked at had DWB as a source, and this bio - - has names that appear in the tree that WikiTree shows for Lewis-241, but doesn't mention the family name Lewis. This DWB page does: ... but not John Lewis. It talks of Alice Lewis (John Lewis's gr-grandmother in WikiTree: I think that the John Puleston profile connected as grandfather to the Virginia John Lewis (Lewis-241) is a mashup of more than one John Puleston. As I mentioned in response to your other, related question (this G2G post), the Puleston profiles need to be developed before we can tell anything certain about the WikiTree lineage of Lewis-241 (although it's not looking good that WikiTree has it right).

Cheers, Liz

You continue to associate John Lewis, the immigrant to Virginia, with a man by the same name who emigrated to New England and is profiled by Anderson in the Great Migration Begins. They were two different people.

In another g2g thread, someone posted a source for the Virginia John Lewis-- a 20th century book available on
