Looking for Leo Huber from Cincinnati/Kentucky area

Question

Looking for husbands family. Run into a block at his great grandfather-

Leo Huber, born in Ohio. Wife was Bertha huber, his son was Phillip Huber.

Leo died around 1970 's and the family believe he was born late 1800's.

Leo had a daughter Cecelia who married an Ader from Ader construction. The family story is that her husband died and Leo quit working for the railroad to help her run the company.

From the 1880 census it appears Leo's father was Philip Huber b abt 1844 OH and his mother was Julia (ueman/Noman/Newman) b abt 1857 PA;  as the 'mother-in-law is listed as Lizabeth Noman b. Germany.

Celia b. abt 1901 was still living with Leo and Bertha in 1930 census, listed as single.

Thank you so much for this info...getting this family straight was getting tough...they had all named the latest bunch of kids Lee,not knowing the earlier relative was Leo.

Hi Chris,

I have a lot of information on the Hubers. I am related to them. The father Philip died in Nov 1893. He got up early and complained of a headache, his wife Julia told him to go back to bed,,,moments later he died. He was 50 yrs old. Julia his wife was 37 at the time, with 3 young children still living at home. Her daughter Julia--not juliet met my great grandfather Fred at the age of 17 and her mother and the younger children moved in with Fred. Fred and philip's daughter had 6 living children. All of the children were named after her father/mother and her siblings.

My husband is from Julia Homan 's son-Leo h huber. So, I guess your side is sister Juliet? Looks like you and my husbad are cousins.  The furthest back I could get was Julia's Homan's mom- Elizabeth and Phillips mother as Catherine 1812.
Is this group related at all to all the louisville Hubert's?

Im related to the hubers--yes on daughter Juliet (Julia's ) side--her husband is my great grandfather. Leo and Julia's father is Philip Huber--he was a prominent confectioner down on 9th & Vine in cincinnati--he actually died at an early age of 50 in Aug 1893, and left Julia Homan with all the young kids. Thier Daughter Elizabeth married the prominent Frank G Ader, who owned Ader construction--a concrete business
