Merging Unknowns

If a profile with an Unknown LNAB is to be merged with a duplicate profile that has the last name at at birth , which direction does the merge go. I see comments about Unknowns being merged into a profile with a name being the wrong direction. If a name is found for an Unknown does it stay Unknown.

Hi Trudy

Once the correct LNAB has been found, the person will no longer be Unknown and the merge will go into the profile with the known LNAB.

If it is determined that the profile with the name in LNAB is incorrect and you do not know the correct one, then you can merge it into an Unknown.
