Elizabeth Clayhill Herd & John Kerr Weir - can't find marriage in Scotland

Okay, tried to look them up on Scotland's People site & no luck.  I believe when Elizabeth arrived in Scotland her husband was not with her - he was absent during the birth which is shown on the girl's birth document.   I had a copy of the actual document & it was written on the document that he was absent.  I believe he left Kingston to work in Manhatten & Elizabeth & child met him there, but could be wrong.  As soon as I find that document, will post it on Elizabeth Duncan Weir's profile.

She is Elizabeth Herd - or Herd-263

I have spent over 10 years researching this family & she was born Elizabeth Herd in 1833 to Archibald Herd & his wife Elizabeth Duncan.  She was christened in the Liff-Benvie Parish 4 Aug 1833.  She died in Tewsbury Hospital, MA in 1908.

This is a different Elizabeth which is one of the most popular names in the UK.

Thank you for your time

That is her christening & had that date.  However, am looking for her Marriage Record!  It does not appear to be in Scotland according to Scotland's People site.  As she was married in 1865, it should be there is they were married in Scotland.  Now the date is iffy & came from a friend but believe the year is correct.  The date makes searching in Canada difficult as it is near when we became officially a country in 1867.   So, it is probably in some spot or some church record that I have not yet found
NOTE:  no where do I find her name to be Elizabeth Hunter Herd - this is an error made by someone who took another Elizabeth Herd and plugged  in her second name.  I have discussed this matter with Stevie (woman) Herd in New Zealand and she agreed it should not have the "Hunter" name.  Her family descended from Archibald's brother who emigrated to New Zealand.

I took her birth record from Scotland's people and it is not Elizabeth HUNTER Hird.
