Am I seeing a ghost? (Global Family Reunion template has reappeared.)

Question

Recently I've started seeing the Global Family Reunion template on the top of profiles, usually listing a longer number of steps to Al Jacobs than is shown at the bottom of the same profile. It feels like I'm seeing a ghost. I thought this template was decommissioned after the links were added at the bottom of the profile, and http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Template:Global_Family_Reunion confirms that the template was "cleared out"

Was the template restored deliberately, or is its reappearance a result of a tech bug?

After you replied, I stopped running into profiles that displayed this template (partly because I was deleting it after I found it), but I just found another instance of it:

Ah, that was the "user box" version of the template as opposed to the "profile box" version. http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Template:User_Global_Family_Reunion

It's supposed to be for active members so I removed it.

We didn't redirect that template since we figured members might still choose to use it.
