I'm new to the Black Sheep Project and am wondering how we handle those Black Sheep who are convicted of crimes but are still living?

It's up to you and the particular circumstances.

Is it likely that the Sheep will get out on parole during your lifetime?

What sort of dinner conversation do you envision having with this relative over the holidays?  How will the profile you've written effect that conversation?

Some stories are better told after we've gone to our reward.

On the other hand, if the Sheep has a sense of humor and you have a flare for comedic writing, that could be a fun combination. After all Tim Allen (Dick-1338) turned his arrest & incarceration into a stand up comedy show that then launched his acting career.

If they have a Wikipedia article, they should be treated like a notable, with their privacy level set to Public Biography and Family Tree or a yellow lock.

If they're not famous, the profile should be set to Private, or a red lock.

Immediate family deserves privacy of course.
