I am in desperate need of help. My mother gave birth to a child named Sandra Lee Butler June 30th, 1947 in Ellicott City Maryland. She was born as she was told a blue baby. She lived for 2 days in Ellicott City with my mother and father. and the 3rd day she was rushed to the closest hospital which would have been in Baltimore. She (my mother) was told she was dead on arrival.
In August of 1994, my mother wrote Maryland State Archives and they could not find any records of Sandra. There was no death records found from 1945-1949. The letter was signed by Beverley G. Coombs, Archival Assistant.
I am helping my mother in trying to find any record of Sandra Lee Butlers death. I have checked the abandoned baby list. Thinking and knowing my father I would not have been surprised if I had found evidence of her there.
I am now hoping now that everything is computerized that anyone that is on a paid genealogy site might be able to find her death records or anything.
As I stated above we do have her birth certificate. I would appreciate any help at all on this.
