What relation is Hellen Laird, b. abt. 1778, to William Black?

I found a Hellen Laird, aged 63, in the 1841 Scotland Census two days ago on Ancestry.com. I think she was one of the boarders or neighbors of William Black, son of David Black and Jane Ritchie. I'm not sure whether she's any relation to William Black's sister, Mary Black, whose second spouse was William Laird, but I think this is interesting.

I think these people are in my Laird family tree. I know we have Ritchies.

Wallace Ritchie Laird of Arbroath Scotland.  We have been researching and my sister is keeper of the Ancestry records.
