I wanted to share this family photo of my Grandfather,  William Gill Oakden, with the community. Location: Centerville, Ut. Photo, Salt Lake City, Ut.. Date: 1905. He was County Sheriff in Davis County, Utah until his accidental death in 1908.

What and amazing photo, I wonder what it is for a jewel in his color, it look very interesting. I have a feeling a job like being a sheriff in the old days, most have been very hard and dangerous.How sad he died only 3 years after this photo was taken.

I am glad you asked this, because I spent a long time several months, ago, trying to find something about this on 'The LagoonPark' site.  This gave me a chance or the inclination to look, again.  Still nothing on the site, but I called the corporation and they have just printed a new book with much more history of Lagoon.  No guarantees, but I bought the book and should receive it in a week or so.  I'm sure someone out there has a picture, but I'm hoping there will be one in this book.

Still haven't found any pictures of the Pavillion(s).  Somewhere in our family pictures there must be one.  We had many picnics in them, but other members of my family have all the pictures.  The Lagoon book didn't include any.  I was really happy to recently receive the other picture of William that I posted, and also the one of my Aunt Lucille Karzis.  My niece sent them to me in an email.  Some other pictures Theodore, Edmund, Carrie, (Barnes) I ffound from  a message board.  I feel so fortunate to have them.
