This is my grandmother a wonderfully talented and resilient lady, who helped her family as a young girl cleaning houses, was struck by lightening as a girl and couldn't speak for over a year, who stayed on her knees for almost three days straight praying her rosary asking God which of 2 men she should marry. She was a seamstress who could not be matched and a milliner who created hats that were the height of fashion. A Horsewoman, beloved wife and adored mother and lastly a treasured grandmother!

I wanted to share this family photo of Mary Vandette with the community. Location: Montreal Quebec Canada. Date: unknown.

She sounds like she was very talented. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you John, she was very talented and with very little to work with. People nowadays could learn a lot from their ancestors if they would just listen. Have a great day! Tina

What a beautiful tribute to your Grandmother. This is most the important reason  for WikiTree's existence. Please add the comments you made above to her biography. 100 years from now, when your decedents google her name, your comments will come up...and that's what its all about. These stories are too soon forgotten.
