Why does clicking on search result knock me out of WikiTree?

+6 votes
I'm searching for my old Family Finder GEDmatch ID in the search for any text field at

but when I click on one of the results I can't easily edit because I'm no longer logged into WikiTree.

Is there a way to search for a text string in WikiTree and stay in WikiTree?

Thanks and sincerely,

I've discovered that if I'm logged into Wikitree and then go to the Google website and search for my old Family Finder GEDmatch ID then I'm still  logged into WikiTree when I click on a search result.  Thus I'm able to easily edit.
Peter, are you working from an iPhone? If so, it's an iPhone-wikitree incompatibility problem. I've never been able to get an answer from anyone at wikitree about why this is so much less any interest in doing something about it.

I'm using an iPad.  So I may have the issue you mention. Thanks for pointng that out.

Update:  Using my Windows PC, I searched at
http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:SearchPerson and clicking on the results did not knock me out of WikiTree.  So it is an iPad/iPhone (Safari?) issue.
