Can anybody help me find more definitive sources for birth/baptism/marriage/death records for Olafsdottir-84?

Question

All I really know about Olof Olafsdottir Sveinsson is that she was the wife of Olaf Sveinsson and the Mother of Sigvald/Sigvaldi Olafsson. That is from ONE baptism record for her son, the above named. If anyone can help by finding records that are more definitive, I would really appreciate it. I've seen a few records, but haven't cited them as sources because I'm not sure they are the right person. I have no real death date or birth date.

I don't know if these are helpful but here are is some info

if you check this out site out you will notice that in sweeden and lcieland for a while last names continue to change so last name of olafson would be son of Olaf.

 

so for example  Sveinsson could be named John Sveinsson son of Svien and Johns children would be Blah blah Johnson

There is an on-line source called Icelandic Roots - I have found them very helpful; they are creating and maintaining a database of people of Icelandic origin who came to North America - mostly info supplied by family genealogist.  Its worth checking out their website, and asking your questions there.
