Margaret is listed as grand-daughter on the census above and Josephine is a Barry so I'm betting that Francis is Josephine's father. And WHO makes a five year old a servant? What kinda grand daddy is that? I'm showing this to my kids. They are lucky.

I was wondering the same thing when I read this... is that a normal thing back then to list the male as a Grand servant and the female as a Grand child... poor boy was only 5 years old, how could he be some type of servant??? Made me think they adopted them to have them as servants later on.... Did not know about the mother Josephine being in the picture at all. I had to laugh at your comment "Im showing this to my kids"!!!!!
