Link in Galway Ireland to Thomas Fahie, Herring Cove Nova Scotia 1790

I am related to Thomas Fahie and Bridget Shea who lived in Herring Cove Nova Scotia in 1790 and am trying to find a link to Galway, where he is purported to have hailed from.  I am travelling to Galway in October.

I am looking for any information on the Shea/Shean/Sheehan family who lived in Herring Cove - do you know anything?

My ancestor is Catherine Shean, born around 1812 Herring Cove, Father John Sheehan of Herring Cove and Catherine married John Newcombe.
