Is there a way to go straight to an ancestor?

I am looking for a way to find an ancestor with out having to go through the tree.

From your profile, click on Family tree and tools, this will give you a tree of several generations.  If the ancestor isn't there, click on the profile of an earlier descendant.

One of the dropdown choices under your name is the Family List which might be the tool your could possibly use to jump within your tree. http://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:FamilyList&p=1222041

If you are wanting to return to one your are working on at another time, I usually save the link as a bookmark. You could also search for the name and select the one from the list but that could be difficult if your are looking for John Jones or some other common name. Hopefully this helps.
