Michael Wellman died in 1821 in Pennsylvania. He was born in Mass. in 1728 to Stephen Wellman & Abigail Boston. Michael & Elizabeth had a son Named Rudolph Wellman who was married to Agnes Archer in 1789-90 in What is now West Virginia. He died in 1836 in Belmont, Ohio and Agnes died in 1834 same place. Rudolph was born in 1758; place is supposed to be in Maryland or Pennsylvania. Not exactly sure. He did own property in Somerset township of Washington County, Pennsylvania from the time he was mustered out of the Pennsylvania Militia from 1781 -1784. He fought at the Battle of Sandusky with Capt. James Craven as his commander. It is his parents that I am most interested in. They did live in St. Mary's Parish Maryland about the time of Rudolph's birth.
