Deletion of a Tree created in error

I have read most of the FAQs on the subject of deletion.

I am assisting my partner with the creation of her tree. The tree has been created using her maiden Name

In hindsight I should have created the tree starting with her 14 year old son named James Gregson and worked back from there.

In this case I want to register a new account for James. The Jaikaew tree containing just one member is not a tree and  should be removed. In fact I would recommend that any trees with just one member with no activity in a say 3 month period should be removed as part of normal housekeeping. Comments Please.

All you need to do is add her married name to her profile, add the son etc.

There is only one tree. You can just add James as her son and then add his ancestors. If you want James to have an account you can add his email to the profile that you create.

For clarity I wanted tree named as Gregson rather than Jaikaew.

Since Sarunporn Jaikaew's account is new I think you can delete it here:

Errol, if I am following you correctly, I don't think you would need to delete anything.  The concept here is that there is one single tree, and we all interconnect somewhere if we go back far enough.  If James is the son of Sarunporn, you can create a profile for James and show him as her son.  The profile can be private, and James does not need an account in order to have a profile.  You can also create profiles for Sarunporn's parents, and siblings if there are any, and then expand further on the spouses and siblings of parents, add grandparents, and so on.  Eventually you'll get to a connection to the big single worldwide tree.  You can mention your partner relationship in the biography of your own profile and that of Sarunporn's if you wish to, showing your connection to that profile or that line of ancestors.  That's the way this whole thing is evolving.

If I missed the boat on interpreting your question, please post again.

wikitree attempts to never delete a profile. If you create a profile with an incorrect LNAB= Last Name At Birth it can be changed to the correct LNAB by creating the correct name profile & Merge it with the incorrect one.

wikitree does not have named trees for each members tree as we create one world tree. ancestry.com creates member trees that you can name, wikitree does not.
