Here is his wikitree profile. I'm not actually sure if they are the same people...that' what I'm trying to get help with. As it is with most 1700's people and documents not all the dates match though mostly they do appear to be in line with each other. Mostly anyway. It's so confusing and I'm not experienced enough to sort it all out. Any help will be appreciated. you can find the whole family tree through my profile and on www.familysearch.org  Claude Caron is my 7x great grandfather. I'm pretty sure I counted right.

Help! First read the biography in the family search link.

After  you do that read this... http://archive.org/stream/storyofoshkoshhi00lawsiala/storyofoshkoshhi00lawsiala_djvu.txt

http://www.barnum.org/nti06789.htm

This may be of help...https://www.accessgenealogy.com/native/biography-of-chief-oshkosh.htm/3

And he's mentioned here..        https://books.google.com/books?id=nkSEDc6W0IMC&pg=PA293&lpg=PA293&dq=vieux+carron+and+menominee+indians&source=bl&ots=pK9-2wCNGj&sig=Ac4tbU5hu2WzARGhK7JApHQTEEE&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiIr-3wlLXMAhWDsIMKHXLLA_YQ6AEIPDAF#v=onepage&q=vieux%20carron%20and%20menominee%20indians&f=false

And here as Old Claude farther down the page    http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/NISHNAWBE/1999-10/0940313566

This link is a little confusing  http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=honoring&id=I9552

Here as Vieux Caron and his wife http://boydwebsite.weebly.com/

and on that site you can click on the names and it will take you to another site.
closed with the note: Found it! Not the same Claude Caron...thank God!!

I think you might want to edit your question and add the tag Metis. The profile is for a Canadian.
You need to begin by finding sources for your great grandparents.  There should be census records from 1930, 1940 and more.  The way you've taken for granted that this information is accurate is a bit of a stretch.  Go slow and prove things with sources step by step and you'll have something.  We've all been there.  :)  Good luck!
