Robert Blake-296 (1412-1471) had wife with the family name Wallop.  Her first name has been given variously as Alice, Avice or Avis.   I am inclined to believe the first choice for Alice Wallop-2 with father John Wallop-18 and mother  Alice Bushey-90.

However I have neither the skill nor time to be an expert on genealogy from this period.  So please help.

It is Alice, she is buried in St. Mary's Calne. I don't have the picture of her burial in the church.

The Visitation of Wiltshire of 1565 has her name as Avys, but doesn't name her parents.  I haven't been able to find anything else so far.

There  is also a land document (possibly 2) in the Somerset Archives with her name transcribed  as Avice http://somerset-cat.swheritage.org.uk/search/all:records/0_50/all/score_desc/avice%20blake

The visitation mentioned by John  above has Avys and  she has a daughter called Alys

What could be her inquisition post mortem (same year as given on many sites for her death: 1494) has the name transcribed as Amice ( comma missing before the Wilts ?)

Looks also as if there is also quite a bit of confusion here  at the very least duplicate wives http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Blake-301

who according to this are possibly incorrect

(the pedigree mentioned is also in the Somerset Archives) http://somerset-cat.swheritage.org.uk/records/A/ACU/1
