wasn't sure if anyone else heard , tried, or was interested in this but thought I would share just in case there was someone who wanted to get dna tested but did not feel they had money to do it at this time. there is a study being done by the University of Michigan , mostly to track health issues but they do give you your uninterpreted genetic data free. I got my dna kit and sent it back last month so still waiting know it will take couple of months. I know that this doesn't really compare to what you can get with other paid dna testing but for now for me I thought it would work anyone interested in finding out more they are called Genes for Good
http://genesforgood.sph.umich.edu/ they do ask that you do some surveys before they send you a dna kit but they were not that bad or time consuming
