Manually created profiles without sources are no longer getting the Unsourced template and Unsourced category. I noticed this because of a new contributor who has manually created numerous unsourced profiles that never received the unsourced template or category, and I just now hand-created a profile without a source to see what would happen -- no indication that it's unsourced!
What's going on? I hope this wasn't a deliberate change in policy.

I think you found the pattern, Patricia. :-)
The new contributor seems to be creating new profiles without family connections, and connecting them to family afterwards. My test profile (which is a real person whom I can source and connect) also was created as a new unconnected person.
So it looks like the Unsourced template isn't being added to newly created unconnected profiles.
Hmm... After deliberately creating several more unsourced profiles, I have a new theory on what's happening:
If I put anything in the text field (that is, the biography), the profile is not recognized as unsourced. But if both text fields are empty, the system identifies the profile as unsourced.

Same thing happens regardless of whether the profile is created as an unconnected profile or is created as a relation to other family members.
