Looking to family connection for Michael Shea born 4/17/1859, son of Daniel and Mary Griffin. He died on 8/16/1934. Was a preeminent Buffalo NY Theatre owner. Mostly connected through the St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada families of Breen, McDougal or Hennegan

Thomas Shea the brother of Michael Shea was married to Julia Hennigan daughter of John Patrick Hennigan & Eileen Breen my Great-grand-parents. Also Thomas and Julia were my mothers Godparents. Their also Shea recorded on my Grandmothers Anne McDougal Hennigan funeral attendance list. The Hennigans, Breens and Shea's apparently have a long connection going back to St Catherines Ont. Canada and their immigration. I don't know as yet if they were connected in Ireland. ( Dunmaway County Cork).  However their is a common bond throughout the Church Record of St Catherines of Alexandria RC Church of Marriages, Baptisms and funeral

I live in Buffalo NY, and am in charge of archives at Shea's.  I discovered this website - see that his date of death is incorrect, maybe a typo.  He died on May 16, 1934.  You can find the actual Buffalo News paper of his death - google "Michael Shea Obituary Scrapbook"
