Looking for parents of Joseph. H. Stanley born in Kentucky abt 1857.

Question

He was my husband's great grandfather and a brick wall for us.  Would love to find his parents names.  His son was Henry Morton Stanley (not the famous explorer!) also born in Kentucky in 1895, probably in Chenoa, Ky.  It would be wonderful to have a breakthrough, thanks for any ideas. Joseph's spouse's name was Rose. He also lived in Illinois, shown in some later census records.
