The attachment of name variations in 'People Search' window

Question

In the top right hand corner of 'People Search' window shows variations of a surname for some names eg POKE - PIKE PEEK POGUE etc.  My family name POAKE is a variation of these also and I would like to

a. add the name to this People search window

b. add the variations to the POAKE People search window

We use the name variations from the Variant Names Project: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Variant_names_project

I'm not sure if Dallan and WeRelate are currently allowing updates or not.

Based on my experience trying to add variants, I predict that WeRelate would not add Poake as a variant name. They would say  that it's an uncommon variant and has the same Soundex pattern, so it will show up in searches at WeRelate, and doesn't need to be added to the database there. Unfortunately, that won't help us here, since WikiTree doesn't use Soundex in searches.
