Looking for Witherspoons from Michigan in the early 1900's

Question

I've traced my father, Donald Joseph Witherspoon, born in Detroit 5-4-1934, to his parents. Lee Witherspoon Born 1911 and Gertrude Schaft born 1912. Both born in Detroit.   Lee's parents William B Witherspoon  born 1887 Detroit and Anna B Jordans born 1888 Ireland

I can not find any info before then for either one

William Witherspoon's father was born in Michigan and his mother was born in Canada. He had an older brother, Albert. No parents of Wm were found.
