Seeking Sysop to fix destructive merged records and gedcom issue

Question

Hi,

There are over 200+ records for the GRIST family on the 100 unconnected list, that as the connectors have been making strides are now taking up a lot of the first few pages.

There are also another 200 records+ for HODGART which appear to have gone a but odd during the import process duplicating them a lot, which are taking up a lot of the first pages on the 100 unconnected list.

Most of the Hodgarts have merges proposed and can be merged on the 14th.

And the profile manager did a few of the merges but probably doesn't know about all of them, as their email server decided that the huge number of merge proposal emails were spam and started bouncing them.

The Grist ones have been around for a long time...and something should have been done a while ago.....

Yes indeed, but is unfortunately becoming more troublesome as is diluting the excellent 100 unconnected list and in a way would be a pest to resolve but is some low hanging fixes for the unconnected list that could remove a big number of profiles quickly. :)

I've brought this up to the team. I'm not 100% sure what the best approach is at resolving it - I'm not sure that deleting all the profiles is the right way to go.  But we're going to look at it and see how to move forward.  Thanks!

The Grist profiles were suppose to be deleted by a sys/op a long time ago. A sys/op and I decided it would be best to delete them. Too many profiles were merged into others then again and again and again.....

I spent countless hours trying to untangle the mess. I usually can untangle them but in this case it was a fruitless endeavor. I've inquired several times about deleting them.  Leaving these around just makes for more confusion.
