Under this same source is Perrys; there is over 8,000 listed; I only went through a few of them and listed the Confederate ones:

Perry-Military Service-Private-Confederate-state Alabama. Unit: 25th Regiment, Alabama Infantry Company H. film#35 M374 821983.

A.G.Perry-Military Service-Private-Confederate-state Alabama. Unit: 2nd Regiment, Alabama Cavalry Company C. film#35 M374 821983.

Alfred T Perry-Military Service-Private-Confederate-Alabama. Unit: Hurt's Battery, Alabama Light Artillery. film#35 M374 821983.

Alonso H Perry-Military Service-Confederate-Alabama. Unit: 19th Regiment, Alabama Infantry Company G. film#35 M374 821983.

A M Perry-Military Service-Private-Confederate-Alabama. Unit: 51st Regiment, Alabama Partisan Rangers Company C. film#35 M374 821983.

Asa Perry-Military Service-Private-Confederate-Alabama. Unit: 30th Regiment, Alabama Infantry Company H. film#35 M374 821983.

Augustus Perry-Military Service-Confederate-Alabama. Unit: Camp of Instruction, Talladega, Alabama. film#35 M374 821983.

There were so many Confederate Soldiers in Alabama, to list them all would take forever for me. If you have a full name of whom you are looking for it would narrow down the list. I hope this has helped answer your questions.

I know of at least 3 Perrys from Florida who served for the Confederacy:

Madison Starke Perry, 4th governor of Florida, served as colonel of the 7th Florida Infantry Regiment until illness forced his resignation on April 30, 1863.

Peter Boyer Perry, founder of Pedro, Florida, enlisted in the 6th Florida Infantry Battalion at Lake City on July 29, 1863, was promoted to company 1st Sergeant on November 12, 1863. After his unit was transferred north to Virginia and became a part of Company F, 9th Florida Infantry Regiment, he served with that unit and was present on the last roll when the Army of Northern Virginia on April 9, 1865.

Joseph Todd Copeland Perry, my 4x great grandfather, died of wounds received during the third Battle of Murfreesboro, TN or the Battle of the Cedars, in Dec 1864. He was a private in Company I, 7th Florida Inf. Reg.,Fla Brigade, Bates's Division, 2nd Corps, Army of Tennessee.
