registration of a stillborn with a first name

Johannes Scherpenisse and Johanna van Overstraten had a stillborn (levenloos) son: Adriaan Scherpenisse in 1853. In the Civil Registration this Adriaan registred in the death records. There is no registration in the birth records. How can I register Adriaan Scherpenisse in Wikitree as a child of Johannes and Johanna?

Niek, you should be able to add a profile for Adriaan just like you add any profile.

Add him as a child to Johanna's profile (or to Johannes' - just make sure to connect Adriaan's profile to both parents' profiles), entering his name (be sure to use his correct LNAB!), birth and death info, and your source citation.

The system should accept the new profile without any problems. However, if you do have any problems, let us know by adding a new comment to your post.

In my experience Levenloos normally do not have a birth registration and the death records are the only so-to-speak "proof of birth" - in contrast a child who dies an hour or two after being born will normally have both a birth and death registration.

Speaking to the larger issue your question alludes to - While a birth registration is certainly one of the most preferred sources for the facts of a persons birth, all that is expected is that you say where a specific fact came from. For example, calculating a birthdate from a newspaper article announcing a celebration for the person's 50th birthday would be an acceptable source, as would inferring a birth year from some event that happens at a certain age (for example becoming registered to vote or licensed to drive) - what is important is that other researchers know where the information originates so they can evaluate how accurate it is likely to be.
