Can a Pre-1500 Certified member merge Aiskby-1 into Unknown-318999

The complete merge request is, Matilda Conyers (Aiskby-1) and Basilia Unknown (Unknown-31899).  Can someone view the Email I received today at 4:00 PM from Robin Lee requesting this merge?  It was somewhat confusing and I am not sure how to handle this type of request.

I apologize for the confusion, Joan.   I thought my addressing the issue directly to the other profile manager you would understand that he had the action, not you.  Sorry again, for the confusion.

The manager of Unknown-31899 is pre-1500 certified so to complete the merge you should give him trusted list status on Aiskby-1 and he can them complete the merge after which you will both be managers. I suggest you contact him to discuss. I agree they look as if they should be merged.

there were two Rogers, one married Matilda, one married Basilica, and they both might have had brothers called Galfrid.

This now becomes quite complicated in that Aiskby-1 appears to be the wrong surname. Aiksby occurs 81 times in the popular genealogy websites all referring to Matilda Aiksby-1 and I can find no other reference to this surname. I would propose that the surname of Matilda was Aislaby a Yorkshire location relevant to her Conyers association. I consider that at some time the hand-written 'la' in an  Aislaby record has been misconstrued as a 'k' since Aiskby occurs nowhere else and fits uncomfortably into the speech patterns of the area. Data similarities for Roger & Matilda's and Roger & Basilia's descendents indicate the two families should be merged. There may possibly have been two Rogers but if so their descending lines appear to have become conflated.

Roger and Basilie had no descendants.  The estate passed to Roger's younger brother Galfrid.
