Both people have 2 same direct lines on both sides

Here's the confusion my  1st cousin's, daughter's,  husband is related to us on two of our  direct family lines.

On family line "A" it's his 8th g-grandparents and her 6th g-grandparents

On family line "B" it's his 6th g-grandparents and her 5th g-grandparents

Since they are doubled up, what is their relationship? Also, they had one child, I can't even add up what her relationship would be  with these intertwined colliding lines.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Eve

If they all have WikiTree Profiles look under the "Find" tab at the top right of the page and select "Relationships". Enter their WikiTree ID's and it will tell you what their relationship is.

If you mean in terms of "xth cousin y times removed" I think the norm is to take the closest relationship; so line B in your example. I'm descended from one couple through four of their children. The WikiTree relationship tool doesn't deal with these situations very well.
