Linking of found family

As I & other family members build our tree, how do you link them together? With Facebook, I have managed to stumble across many Fanchiers. Some of us are trying to find our exact relationship. I just started building my tree, & have started inviting other family members to join & add.

Do we need to find out how we're related first?

I noticed a box that pops up with similar names when I entered a nephew. Do/can I select from that?

As you build your tree branch and your "cousins" build their branch eventually you will discover a meeting place (a shared profile), and at that point your branches will connect.

The box that contains similar names, some of them will not be matches, some will. It is important that you don't just willy nilly select a profile that really isn't a match. But if you find someone with the same birth or death in the same place or with the same spouse etc., you can select that one.
