How to name infant death, so that they are easily recognized.

In my previous work with my tree on MyHeritage, I made a habit of placing an x in front of the name of child dying in infancy, not reaching adulthood.

thus x Charles, x Genevieve, are for children who did not reach adulthood.

This is very helpful in reviewing genealogies as these can't be married.\

What is Wikitree view of this practice.?

Or does wikitree have an alternated method of highlighting these?

Wikitree does have a long method, namely "no spouse", No children but thisonly shows when you look at the individual. The x shows immediately in a line of siblings.

[unmarried] and [no children] also shows in the descendants view.

The Died Young sticker was created for use on profiles of people who died in infancy or childhood.

See Template:Died Young for more information. Or simply add the sticker to a profile by entering {{Died Young}} below the == Biography == heading.

Since Wikitree is collaborative, nothing is used in the name space except the name.

The reason is that if will affect any searches on the name.   When the names appear in the search birth and death dates are both shown.  You will be able to see who did not survive until adulthood.

When I create a profile for someone who died as an infant I put a note about it in the biography and make sure both the birth and death dates are entered. If I don't have an exact date of birth or death I at least enter the year(s). That will make it obvious when looking at pedigree charts and whatnot. As mentioned, adding anything to the name field other than the actual name will cause problems for searches.

The Died Young sticker was created for situations like this. It's intended for profiles of people who died in infancy or childhood.

See Template:Died Young for more information. Or simply add the sticker to a profile by entering {{Died Young}} below the == Biography == heading.
