Seeking the parents of John and Jacob Miller in Pennsylvania.

+5 votes
Brothers Jacob (b. abt 1800) and John (b. abt 1805) emigrated from Pennsylvania to Wayne County, Ohio, before 1850, and Jacob died there.  John moved to Adams County, Indiana, and then Buchanan County, Iowa, where he died.  I'm searching for the parents of Jacob and John, probably from Pennsylvania.  Graciously, in September 2016 Marci King searched Amish and Amish Mennonite genealogies by Hugh F. Gingerich and Rachel W. Kreider and found no evidence of these Millers.  Thus, these Millers most likely were not Amish or Mennonite.

I have searched  Amish and Amish Mennonite genealogies, by Gingerich, Hugh F., and Rachel W. Kreider, and unfortunately have not found evidence of your Millers. There are 3 Edward Millers and none of them had  the right fathers or wives.

AAMG lists many old  Amish and Amish Mennonite families from entry into US up until late 1800s so your people would have been right there.

Sorry I was not able to connect you but at least now you know they were not listed in AAMG.
