how do i see the data from a profile I merged into another profile?

I know this has been answered before, but I am still having issues.

I merged Lafreniere-123 into Desrosiers Lafreniere-8

They had conflicting death dates. I want to retrieve the former death date to add the the later bio. Does that make sense?

Thanks,

Dawn

Go to the Changes tab

Look for (Merged Lafreniere-123 into...) and click on Lafreniere-123

That shows you the Changes for the merged-away profile.

If you go to the bottom line and click "imported the data", it won't work.  Start higher up and work backwards using the Previous Change button.

Hi,

when you merge it gives you the opportunity to select the information that you want to carry over into the finished profile.

Once you have selected a date when doing the merge you will not be able to retrieve the other date unless it was added to the biography section of the profiles.

Therefore it is always wise to check that this info is contained in the biography, or do a pre-merge edit of the biographies to make sure that the conflicting dates are added before the final merge.

If there is another way I would be very happy to learn about it.
