I am waiting for my DNA before uploading a new GEDCOM and wondering if this is best way ?

I wouldn't wait but I would upload a small gedcom.  The sources imported are in a format that is only readable to your software.  You will then have to re-gather your sources and cite them correctly (which is easier with a smaller gedcom import).

There's no need to wait. You will have to enter the DNA by hand anyway. As far as I can recall GEDCOM's don't support DNA, but I could be wrong about that.
