Kirby/Kerby of Colonial Virginia [closed]

Question

This WAS intended as an open discussion to resolve problems with the 200+ year old, open WikiTree profiles of various Kirby/Kerby families who lived in Colonial Virginia.

Merge proposed  Robert: Kerby-202 and Kerby-44

birth and death dates are exact and the same for both

same father for both Thomas Kerby-544

mother is different, Mary is the one that should be kept through the merge (whether she was a Ray must be resolved later)

The connection of Robert to his parents Thomas and Mary is based on various circumstantial evidence, not one single record, making it hard to "prove".   If someone does have good evidence the parents, and in particular the father, is incorrect, please share it.

 

Overall, this is a simple, clear duplicate and the merge should be approved and completed ASAP.  This Robert is the father of the John born 1698, which is where the real controversy begins  (I'll start a post on that next), so we need to get this one (Robert) out of the way.
