I have been working on updating the profile of William Ward (1603-1687). For the most part, I have been putting my notes in a separate section at the bottom of the profile. Please see the section Common Errors to Avoid at the bottom of the profile.
Basically, there is no evidence as to the English origins of William Ward – he needs to be disconnected from his parents. The name of his first wife is Unknown Unknown and needs to noted as such as well as connected to the appropriate children. Also, the LNAB at birth for his second wife Elizabeth is Unknown (not Phillips, not Storey, not Hall, and not Whale – see notes).
Proposed Changes:
1. Disconnect from parents. There is absolutely no evidence for his origins despite much speculation.
2. Creation of an Unknown first wife, mother of first 4-6 children.
3. Disconnect/consolidation of all wives into a second wife - Elizabeth Unknown. There is no evidence that she is Elizabeth Phillips, Elizabeth Hall, Elizabeth Story or Elizabeth Whale.
