G2G: Need help communicating with a Lithuanian guest

Question

We have a guest from Lithuania who is possibly searching for help with his DNA. He does speak some English, but it would be great to have a translator so that we can better understand each other.

It would be so helpful if all of us would add the language template to our profiles. Even if you're not able to join the language volunteers, it's really helpful to know which language is your native one and which languages you can speak.

Mes turime svečią iš Lietuvos , kuris galbūt ieškoti pagalbos su savo DNR. Jis kalbu anglų kalba, bet tai būtų puiku turėti vertėją , kad galėtume geriau suprasti vienas kitą .

Thanks, Frank -- I did use Google translate as a fall-back to translate a message I had written for our guest. I do this frequently when situations like this arise.

However, it's not a good substitute for having someone who can converse in a guest's language, unfortunately. Too much can be "lost in translation.

Būtų taip naudinga, jei mums visiems būtų įtraukti kalbos šabloną į mūsų profilius. Net jei jūs negalite prisijungti prie kalbos savanorius , tai tikrai naudinga žinoti , kokia kalba yra jūsų gimtoji vienas ir kokiomis kalbomis galite kalbėti.
