Looking for the parents of Albert Barnett 1823-1900

Question

Looking for the parents of Albert Barnett.  He states in the Census he was born in Spotsylvania, VA in 1823.  Went to the gold rush in El Dorado, CA.

He went to Missouri and married Sarah E. Elliott and had two children.  He served in the Union of the Civil War then later was a memeber of the GAR.

He belonged to the Walnut Grove Baptish Church in Walnut Grove of Howard County. I contacted the church and they stated this church is not the same one built in the 1800s.  He and his family moved to Kirksville, MO where he stayed until his death in 1900.  I have a copy of his headstone from the cemetary.   Missouri didn't have death certificates until 180?.  I asked this question on Google and it came back that his parents were Issac and Rachel Barnett but I have nothing to prove this.

Albert states his dad was born in Virginia and his mother in Kentucky but Issac came straight from England.  I don't know if he lied about ths for some reason or maybe Albert is his middle name.  He is my mystery man and I need help.  Thanks for any help.

If Isaac came straight from England,There is a record of a marriage too

Sarah Elliot there.In England.

There is a family record on Geni.com.

Albert stated he married Sarah Elliott in Missouri but can't find a record.  Issac was married to Rachel.  I'll check out Geni.com again.

Dtr Henrietta,Son James.Page 25 1860 Census.Plot 577 page 36,1860 Census,

Solomon Barnet Ky. age 66born abt 1794.wife Ann age 60.This adds too your problem,

Is this possibly Albert father.

Idk Wayne but I'm certainly looking into it.  I know Sarah was from Kentucky but Albert has always stated he was born in VA.  Thanks for the tip.
