DNA adding test kit

I am adding a FamilytreeDNA test to a male person on my tree. My question is.... Since he has  done both Autosomal or his Ytest since we are looking for our father? What do  you suggest would be best?

Thank you

If you're looking for a father, I would suggest ytest

Raeleah, I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you asking which test should be taken, or which test should be entered on WikiTree? Your statement says 'he has done both'. If that's true, then information about each of those tests should be entered in WikiTree, on the profile of the person tested. If you're trying to decide which test to take, I would agree with Danny, that you're likely to get more useful information in tracking down a father with a yDNA test. But I would recommend both, Family Finder and a yDNA 37 marker test.

He did the Autosomal test on FTDNA, then I upgraded it to the Ydna test with the 37 markers. I didn't see how to add both of the test so I was trying to figure out which one to use. If I can get the other one on here that would be awesome. I put the Ytest on here for now.

Thank you for your help. I get  confused on here. All help is very much appreciated.

Yes, you need to enter both tests on his profile. But first you need to change the privacy level of the person tested from 'private' to 'private with a public family tree' so that the DNA information displays for others to see. On his profile, click on the 'privacy' tab. Click on the small button next to the new privacy level, and then click 'set new privacy level'. Now you're ready to add information about his second DNA test. At the top right of his profile you'll see 5 entries with drop-down lists (my wikitree, his wiki id, add, find, help). 'Hover' on his wiki id (his surname-#), and from the drop-down list, choose DNA. On that page select the 'DNA tests' tab. Scroll down until you find 'Add a new test'. Enter the information about his Family Finder test there.
