G2G: trying to verify if William Reece (1784) of Youngstown Ohio is buried in Newport W. Virginia

Question

I have found a story of William Reece of Youngstown Ohio traveling to Parkersburg W. Virginia to settle, but starting to settle near Marietta Ohio.  He does building a log house and having a log fall on him.  The Sheets family of Newport WVirginia buried him in their private cemetery now called Old Barker.  The Newport Historical library records should hold more info but cannot find a grave market or site unless it was an unmarked grave
