Should I maintain these GEDCOM import sections like User ID?

In GEDCOM imports, I see sections like these created:

=== Data Changed ===

=== User ID ===

=== Object ===

Do these serve any purpose, and if so what is their point?

If not, why doesn't the import process filter these out?

All of these are OK to delete.

The current Gedcom import process filters them out, but they came in with older Gedcoms.
