Hi Sheryl, found this marriage in the QLD BDM, no specific place in QLD listed. Where did the O'Connor name come from? You can request a cert from the BDM using the information provided if you need more details. There are some good transcription agents that would make it cheaper for you too.

Could this also be your David Thom?

David Thom was charged with intended wife desertion and was remanded to Atherton. Bail allowed, himself in £40, and two sureties of £20 each, and was ordered to report himself at the Atherton Court by a given date.

There are also records of a David Thom aged 42 , born Scotland , status SINGLE,????, stated he was a tourist in Australia, intended to be a farmer in Canada, Port of Arrival Victoria B.C, Port of departure, Sydney Australia, Ship "Zealandia", Arrived Canada 17 Sep 1912.

He seemed to be quite a traveller as he was back and forwards to Sydney and Canada several times.
