When asking a question about a specific individual, you will find it helpful to add the WikiTree ID in the WikiTree ID/URL if this relates to a person or free-space profile: box near the bottom of the question window.
This links your question to the appropriate profile and increases the likelihood of:
1. Somebody answering your question because they do not have to work to find more details about the person in question.
2. Connecting someone who comes across the profile on WikiTree to the question on G2G. The question will be seen in the upper right corner on the profile. Visitors can click on it and be taken to the question on G2G where they can read about the ensuing discussion, who knows, they may even have your desired answer?
3. Integrating the answer into the actual profile. That was the reason for the question correct? Lets work to get the new found information integrated into our profiles by including the WikiTree ID with your question,
What!? No Profile has been created? Start one and add all the detail you know, then ask the question and include the WikiTree ID.
You may be surprised at the number and quality of collaborators you gain.
Remember: The WikiTree ID can be found in the first yellow line at the top of the profile next to the Profile Manager's Name or in the URL of the profile. Mine is Stills-18.
