Has anyone attempted to join the Order of the Crown of Charlemagne without using one of the posted "gateway" ancestors?

I'm attempting to solidify my ancestry back to Charlemagne and I'm running into issues with credible sources.  Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't cite WikiTree if I were you.  Even they wouldn't buy the line we're showing.
Interesting comment.

there is no such ting as a "definitive" source list in Genealogy, there are however some good websites and some very bad ones, I try to cross reference several, I stay away from ancestry,  there are just so many mistakes made there.  You can try " the peerage"," fab pedigree", and "stirnet"  Stirnet you have to pay for but if you can find one of your ancestors names there, it is well worth the investment. I am a littlle dubious about these gateway ancestors, I am not American, but if my Gx2 father, had have gone to America and not to Australia, I wouln't be on the list,  to the  best of my  knowledge and research,( well at least on paper) I am descended from Charlemagne, this has taken me the best part of 30 years to unravel, I started off well before the wide spread usage of the internet.  All my mother knew about  our family was  that we  had  Blue blood, well actually  most of it is not,  a lot of it is ordinary people making their way through life.

Bradley 10th cousin 1xr., here is a tree on ancestry.com that has a connection. IDK if it is all documented, but they're friends of mine in New York! normadwyer69 , Braley & Neill Family Tree. Here is a direct link to him on ancestry.com http://person.ancestry.com/tree/16456229/person/926490355/facts . P.S. My G M was a Hudson ;) JPVIV
