Log-in from email link suggestion

Thanks for all that everyone does here on Wikitree! I'm offering a suggestion. When someone clicks on a link within an email (merge request, etc.), the log-in page opens. After logging in, the profile page pops up and not the destination of the original link. Is there a way to program a redirect back to the email link destination after logging in? As it is now, one has to go back to the email and click the link again.

I always stay logged in but you could right click the email link and, once logged in just paste and go in the browser address?

Thanks! your suggestion would work, but not much different than returning to the email and clicking the link. For security and privacy purposes, I don't stay signed-in to anything unless I'm active on that particular site.
