William Simpson Beall (Beall-395), born 1776, was the grandfather of my great-grandmother Survila Ann Beall. He was the son of Alexander Beall, who was in the Maryland militia during the Revolution, and Alexander in turn was the son of William Beall, who patented a tract of land he called "Long Lookt For." We have been unable to go back farther than William or connect him to the larger group of Maryland Bealls who trace their ancestry back to Scottish Bells.
As my cousin Billy Barber narrates in Find-a-Grave, William Simpson Beall married Elizabeth Ellen Walker. She was an ancestor of my grandfather, and Elizabeth's brother George was an ancestor of my grandmother, making them second cousins once removed.
