The NZ BMD does not appear to have the death record by this name but sadly there is no wildcard support for the name fields - you have to get the spelling spot on.

I  have no idea what year they died or when the adoption took place. I have been searching the name Aldershaw as well but no luck. I have an adoption certificate dated 1952 on which the name is Oldershaw. Thanks

There are several Oldershaws in the Nelson area. Is this the one that died born Nelson 1913 died 1986? Or maybe a son of Stanley Oldershaw.

The one you mention is my father; who was adopted by Henry and Alice Anderson in Brunerton West Coast. It may be that his father was also Stanley
