I could find on ancestry com  a birth (do not see original) Guy Robinson born in 1895 as well. In all lecture and books about him there is mostly 1896 mentioned. On his grave in Arlington there is indicated 1894... In two censuses he is named guy and later on Robert Guy... did not seen the WW2 draft registration....

I have another problem in his family were an uncle is following census of 1870 is born in 1869 but only can find birth a year later.... (can not see the original either) ....

The family of Robert Guy doe not know much

Anyway all info is welcome and I know sometimes people go in life with onother year of birth....

Thanks from Belgium, have a good sunday

There must be a brother of John - George mentioned in census of 30 june 1870, estimate born oct 1869.

In ancestry com a George that could fit but that one is born oct 1870. Maybe there was a mistake in indexing.

William A and Sarah Robinson (maiden name Hannas) are grandparents of Robert Guy Robinson

Thanks (from Belgium) for you help already.... Is family search better than ancestry com?

I use familysearch because it has sources (except user submitted pedigrees which often don't).  It's FREE, you can view, download, save, print what you find, and I don't have a subscription to ancestry.com

Try it at: https://familysearch.org/search/

As for George, this might be him: I wonder if Oct is a christening/baptismal date and Sept is a birth date???  You would have to write the Town Clerk I guess to get a copy, and see what it says on the record. (Correct location/parents)

Source: "Michigan Births and Christenings, 1775-1995," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:F429-RYZ : accessed 22 May 2016), William Robinson in entry for George Robinson, 02 Oct 1870; citing Nankin, Wayne, Michigan, reference 599; FHL microfilm 1,377,654.

Birth Date 02 Oct 1870
Birthplace Nankin, Wayne, Michigan
Race White
Father's Name William Robinson
Father's Birthplace Michigan
Mother's Name Sarah Robinson

Source:  "Michigan Death Certificates, 1921-1952," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KFQZ-DBF : accessed 22 May 2016), William A Robinson in entry for George Hugh Robinson, 25 May 1946; citing Northville, Wayne, Michigan, United States, Division for Vital Records and Health Statistics, Lansing; FHL microfilm 1,972,950.

Name George Hugh Robinson
Event Type Death
Event Date 25 May 1946
Event Place Northville, Wayne, Michigan, United States
Gender Male
Age 75
Marital Status Widowed
Birth Date 24 Sep 1870
Birthplace Nankin, Michigan
Birth Year (Estimated) 1871
Father's Name William A Robinson
Mother's Name Sarah Robinson
That is what I was thinking the only thing is if he is born 2 october 1870 how he can be in the census of 1870

Census date on page: 30 june 1870
I didn't find that census, or a census with John, so maybe there is more than one William and Sarah with a son George?
Sorry, the link you provided directs me to a sign-in or become a member page.  If you are actually signed into ancestry, you wouldn't see that.
