Does it make sense to have search results default to BIRTH DATE. I use that sort 100% of the time.

Hmmm - one of those subjective questions with reasonable arguments for each field.  I also, switch to birth date, but only after viewing the most recent edits, so with default of birth date, it would be an extra step, switching to recent edits then back to birth date.  Casting my vote for leaving as is :D

I mostly use the oldest edit date so I would say no. The advantage to being able to sort the way each individual wants to is that we can each work our own way to reach the ultimate goal of one world wide sourced family tree.
